Honey Jalapeño Turkey Burgers with Avocado Crema

These Honey Jalapeño Turkey Burgers are juicy and flavorful, served on a toasted bun with fresh sweet corn salsa and a quick avocado lime crema. Easy to make, optionally dairy and gluten free and perfect for a family friendly end of summer dinner!

A turkey burger loaded with all sorts of fresh toppings is one of my favorite summer meals. I love these Honey Jalapeño burgers because they’re the perfect balance of savory and sweet with just a little kick from the jalapeño.

The patties are simple, just some lean ground turkey, chopped onion, garlic, jalapeño , a few spices, salt and of course, honey. Use a rubber spoon to mix everything together and form the mixture into about 3 or four patties. I like to oil my hands because ground turkey can be a bit sticky.

For perfect patties, use your hands to form a slight well in the center of each one. This prevents them from shrinking too much as they cook and ending up too thick in the middle.
